A Womb of One’s Own

In this episode we discuss philosophical issues in Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale. We interview philosophers Charlene Elsby, Leigh Kolb, and Trip McCrossin, each of whom contributed a chapter to Rachel’s recent book The Handmaid’s Tale and Philosophy: A Womb of One’s Own. Time permitting will consider the topic, couture in Gilead: fashion crimes or ahead of its time.

[Note: if you are worried about spoilers for The Testaments, we’ve purposely not discussed it this episode. You are safe to listen.]
